I'm a biological anthropologist. My research interests include Scooby-Doo, American Cold War/Nuclear culture, mummies, archaeology in popular culture, and horror and Gothic in fiction and film. Recent publications include the essay “A Lady of Undeniable Gifts but Dubious Reputation”: Reading Theodora in The Haunting of Hill House in the Stoker Award nominated collection Shirley Jackson: A Companion, edited by Kristopher Woofter (Peter Lang, 2021) and “A Panic on the 4th of July” in the collection The Anthropocene and the Undead, edited by Simon Bacon (Lexington, 2022).
