Ivy Roberts, Ph.D. is a scholar of media history and culture. She is an instructor in the Department of English at Virginia Commonwealth University (Richmond, VA). Dr. Roberts is the author of Visions of Electric Media: Television in the Victorian and Machine Ages (2018) and editor of Histories of the Future, an anthology of Proto-Science Fiction (forthcoming, 2019).
